Our training offering includes more than 80 workshops, courses, and meetings.
Want to deepen your professional knowledge, improve your communication skills, or boost your vitality? At Kober, all employees are given the time and space to develop professionally and personally. Our carefully curated training program offers more than 80 training options this year. Because well-trained professionals offer children every opportunity for a bright future.
Endless possibilities for your talents
Karin Nabuurs, training coordinator: "This year, our offerings are even more ambitious and comprehensive. They include the legally required basic training courses, such as first aid and baby training. We also offer in-depth pedagogical training, workshops, and meetings focused on vitality and communication. Together with the Pedagogy department, we develop half of the training courses ourselves. This means we have a tremendous amount of knowledge within the organization. Furthermore, employees have unlimited access to the Goodhabitz online learning portal."
Children and employees receive the very best guidance
"The Stimulus Processing, Toddler Brain, and Adolescent Brain training courses are incredibly popular," says Karin. "Our staff have a strong desire to expand their professional knowledge and want to apply this directly to the classes. This way, we maintain high pedagogical quality together; we learn what's needed now to best support children in their development. But we also wholeheartedly support the pedagogical professionals themselves. That's why I'm very enthusiastic about the themes of vitality and communication. Through workshops like Dealing with Hormonal Complaints, Resilience, and a masterclass in Sleep, we take good care of our staff."

A good start at Kober
Stijn Hagenaars, pedagogical professional and policy development officer, analyzed the training programs offered at after-school care centers and identified areas where they could better meet staff needs. This led to the idea of selecting "good start" training programs for new employees. Stijn explains: "Our pedagogical professionals can be divided into three groups: newcomers, emerging professionals, and senior professionals. Each group has different needs. If a training program is labeled "good start," we recommend that training in the first three years of your career. This helps newcomers develop their knowledge and skills, allowing them to see and help each child grow."
Extensive and verboseeater
Stijn translated the needs of educational professionals, parents, and Kober's vision into the training program. A few examples: "Parents want their children to become more independent, so we developed an independence training program for this. Kober's vision is: 'We are experts on children.' Professionals can confidently project this, for example, by actively engaging with parents about how their child is doing. This is all brought together in the new course, "Strong Together: Partnership with Parents and Education." So we have a comprehensive and improved program, in which we truly listened to each other. I'm proud of that."
A bright future at Kober
Karin: "Our training programs offer a wide range of opportunities for professional and personal growth. Learning and development are part of who we are. You can even advance your career with us. Want to learn the teaching profession through a vocational program (BBL), or take a course to advance to another position? At Kober, you'll truly have the space to develop yourself."
