A day at daycare
7:30 AM – Start-up
Time to open the doors and welcome the first children. A quick catch-up with the parents to see if anything special has happened with their child and to make sure they're feeling comfortable. Of course, we'll wave goodbye to Mom or Dad. Then we'll start the day off quietly. It's perfectly fine if your child dives straight into the play corner with a friend. But starting off quietly with a book is also perfectly fine.
9:30 am – Enjoying fruit at the table
Are we all set? Then we'll prepare the fresh fruit puree. We prefer to do this together with the children. They can, for example, get the fruit from the pantry. They can also help with cleaning and peeling. This is good for their independence and self-confidence. We make a real moment of it. We sit together for a while, chat, read a book… Or we sing a song together. This way, between the bananas, kiwis, and apples, we encourage language development, even in the youngest ones.
10:00 AM – Sleep and play
We follow the youngest children's sleep patterns. We put those who are tired to bed. Others can play. Inside, in the building area, the play area, or with the cars in the garage. Or outside. Plenty of space! And the best part is: by playing together, the children practice talking, listening to each other, and standing up for themselves. In between, we bottle-feed babies and create cuddle moments.
11.30:XNUMX am – Lunch
Setting the table, making sandwiches, clearing the table. Anyone who can manage it a little can do it themselves. And choose what goes on their sandwich. Of course, we decide what's on the table. In principle, it's healthy and responsible. Is there room for another sandwich? We let the children decide!
12:00 – Sleep or an activity
After lunch, we read a book together, go outside, or do a themed activity. We're free to do that, of course. We respond to what the children are doing that day. Maybe a little brother or sister has been born. Or maybe it's snowing. Then we turn that into a playful learning experience.
3:00 PM – Time for a snack
Time for a healthy snack. Some carrots, tomatoes, or cucumber to nibble on, or some yogurt with some fruit. And then it's back to playing! In their own group, in the hall, or outside.
4:30 PM to 6:30 PM – Pick-up and drop-off
Starting at 4:30 PM, the first parents arrive to pick up their children. Of course, we take our time with the handover. We'll post a more detailed report and photos in the Parent App. Once the last child has been picked up and the toys are ready for the next day, it's lights out at 6:30 PM. Tomorrow is another day!
