A morning at the toddler daycare
8:00 AM – Arrival
Is your child arriving in the morning? We'll give your toddler a warm welcome and help them transition from home to here. Materials are waiting in the corners, ready for play. Perhaps your child wants to do a puzzle. Or quietly read a book first. We give them the space to start the day the way they want.
09.00 am – The day starts
Around 9:00 a.m., we gather in a circle. Who's here today? What are we going to do? We often have something prepared based on a theme, like painting in the studio. But we also ask the children what they'd like to do. Building castles in the building corner, perhaps? Go for it! Or cooking in the home corner? Go for it! There's always plenty of room for free play.
We deliberately work and play in small groups, with some groups playing more independently and others receiving more guidance. This allows us to see what the children enjoy and are already capable of, but also where they need extra support.
10:00 am – Fruit break
Mid-morning, it's time for a snack! We prepare a fruit meal with the children. From picking the fruit to cleaning it, peeling a tangerine—they're all involved. It's important for their independence and self-confidence. While eating, we chat, read from a book, or sing. This way, we make it a "language" moment. And that, in turn, is good for language development!
10.30:XNUMX am – Outside
We enjoy spending time outside every day. There's plenty to do there too. Selling sand cakes from the sandbox, cycling around, or studying ladybugs.
12:00 noon – Waving goodbye
Around noon, the first parents arrive at the gate. Time to pick up their toddler. We'll briefly tell you what your child has done and experienced that morning and say goodbye. See you next time!
Toddlers can attend daycare during part-days, in the morning or in the afternoon.
