Dol-fijn Toddler Daycare: learning through play
Handy, such a child center in the middle of the De Weihoek district, where you find everything in one: two schools (Lavoor en The Turning), our daycare center, after-school care, and of course, our toddler care. This makes it the perfect place to learn to play together and easily transition to preschool. In our own playful, attractively furnished space, we play in the play corner, read books, do crafts with clay, and play easy language and math games.
For more space to play and move, we love using the central play hall, which features stepping stones, an extra doll corner, and farm animals, Barbies, and building materials. Of course, we're often found outside. We can also use the gymnasium.
For toddlers who need just a little more support, we offer preschool and early childhood education (VVE). A referral from the child health clinic is required.

What does a day at daycare look like?
Your child is eager to discover the world. Naturally, we ensure there is plenty to do: dressing up, building, gymnastics, reading, making music… This way, we align with your toddler’s developmental stages. Pedagogical professional Sofia: “Toddlers are curious, a perfect moment to introduce them to colors and shapes, for example, in a playful way.”
