Rupsentuin Daycare: cozy and challenging
If you live in the Tuinzicht or Westerpark neighborhoods, Rupsentuin daycare is the perfect place to care for your baby, toddler, or preschooler. First and foremost, it's centrally located—right next to the Nieuwe Meidoorn community center and just a stone's throw from De Boomgaard primary schoolBut more importantly, it's a spacious, well-organized, cozy, and challenging childcare facility. With attractive furnishings—think home corner, book corner, and building corner. And a team that knows better than anyone how to stimulate and help your child grow.
Did you know…
- We have a large natural outdoor playground directly adjacent to our rooms. It's a great place to run, cycle, play with sand, and cook in the outdoor kitchen.
- we sow plants in the vegetable garden together with the children?
- We can provide a hot meal for your child upon request. This is handy if you're short on time in the evenings.

The hourly rate includes:
- food and drinks, including fruit and healthy snacks
- diapers
- extra activities, excursions and theme weeks
Your child will not want for anything!
Holidays and other days when your child is absent and has been canceled can be used at other times, if staffing allows. That's convenient.
This location is registered in the National Childcare Register. You'll need this number when applying for childcare allowance from the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. The most recent Municipal Health Service (GGD) report for this location can also be found on the LRK website.
Our locations are open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Need early or extended care? Please contact us to discuss the options.
In 2026, our locations will be closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day – Thursday, January 1
- Easter Monday – Monday, April 6
- King's Day – Monday, April 27
- Liberation Day – Tuesday, May 5
- Ascension Day – Thursday, May 14
- Whit Monday – Monday, May 25
- Christmas Day – Friday, December 25
- Two training days for our staff, to be determined later. We will announce these at least four weeks in advance and coordinate with the local parent committee.

What does a day at daycare look like?
