What is after-school care?
After-school care (BSO) is a daycare program for children aged 4 to 13. This can include after-school care, pre-school care, or after-school care. From around age 8–9, students move on to Top BSO, for more independence and challenge. At Kober, we strive to align our care with the school as much as possible, so we often share the same building or grounds. This ensures your child stays in a familiar and familiar environment. We also offer holiday care, so you don't have to worry about study days, school trips, or holidays.

• Familiar and personal: We work with small teams, familiar faces, and regular contact during drop-off and pick-up. This creates a sense of trust for your child.
• No long waiting lists: at many locations, you can register immediately or join the waiting list without obligation. If spaces become available, you'll receive an invitation for a tour.
Collaboration with primary schools: We collaborate with your child's school as much as possible, including on content. We align our approaches as closely as possible. This way, we complement and strengthen each other.

Activities at after-school care
There is always something fun to do at our after-school care centers. We offer a wide range range of activitiesActivities are often selected from the DoenKids database. These can include anything from crafts and activities to urban dance, cooking, sports, drama, and many other fun games. We also enjoy working with themes such as seasonal crafts, building projects, or nature activities. Through our after-school sports programs, outdoor activities, and play areas, we encourage each child's social development and diverse talents.
Facilities and layout of our after-school care centers
The after-school care centres at Kober are well equipped, both inside and outside, and with all the necessary materials.
• The locations have spacious indoor areas with a home corner, craft corner, LEGO corner, etc.
• We also like to use outdoor play areas and natural gardens, such as at Nature Garden South with a vegetable garden and discovery corner.
• For further sports and exercise, we use gymnasiums and playgrounds to play football, dance and play outside.
• Children can use toys at the after-school care center and materials ranging from paint to building materials.

Daycare
Our daycare centers are open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Some locations offer the option of opening hours being extended by up to 30 minutes.

After School care
Our after-school care centers are open immediately after school closing time until 6:30 PM. During school holidays and on study days, the after-school care centers are open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Do you need extended or early care? Then please contact us. contact with us to discuss the possibilities.
In 2026, our locations will be closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day – Thursday, January 1
- Easter Monday – Monday, April 6
- King's Day – Monday, April 27
- Liberation Day – Tuesday, May 5
- Ascension Day – Thursday, May 14
- Whit Monday – Monday, May 25
- Christmas Day – Friday, December 25
- Two training days for our staff, to be determined later. We will announce these at least four weeks in advance and coordinate with the local parent committee.
Is your child unable to attend childcare for a day or part of a day, for example due to illness? Then you can cancel the day via the Parent App. This allows you to accrue optional hours. You can then use these hours at another time. You can also use public holidays at a different time. This is called holiday compensation.
Using these optional hours or holiday compensation is a courtesy. You cannot derive any rights from this. This means you can only use hours if the group capacity allows. We do not deploy additional childcare workers. If there is no room in your own core group, we will consult with you to see if there is room in another group.
It's helpful if you always let us know when your child won't be attending. This way, other parents may be able to use their optional hours or holiday compensation, and you'll also have the opportunity to do so at a later time. This way, we'll do everything we can to schedule your credit.
