First Papacafé at NAC Breda: a morning for fathers and their children

2 October 2025

Mommunity and Kober join forces for a social initiative

On Friday morning, October 10th, NAC Breda will open its doors for its very first Papacafé: a fun morning especially for fathers and their children aged 0 to 4. While Mamacafés have become a familiar fixture, it's now time for a morning where dads take center stage.

Social initiative
The Papacafé is an initiative of Mommunity Breda in collaboration with Kober. Mommunity is a community volunteer organization that connects mothers—and now fathers, too. Kober sponsors the cafés and contributes his pedagogical expertise.

The goal is to offer fathers a place where they can gather with their child for a relaxed morning. While the fathers enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and the children play with books and each other, there's room to talk about fatherhood and parenting. Not a chatterbox? Even then, there's plenty of opportunity to join in: activities are offered that connect and inspire.

Sports program for young and old
The Papacafé takes place at NAC, the place to be for football fans. During this morning, Kicks & Sticks organizes a special Toddler & Preschool Panna training session (KEPP) for children aged 2 and up. This playfully introduces the littlest ones to the joys of exercise. For younger children, there's a baby-friendly exercise course, and a Kober pedagogical professional will read aloud about the theme of exercise.

Dad Café – Time for fathers
Fathers are also actively involved in raising and caring for their young children. The Papacafé offers a pleasant place to gather with your child, meet other fathers, and exchange ideas. It's accessible, welcoming, and a source of inspiration for fatherhood.
