Daily routine at the toddler daycare
Toddlers can attend our daycare in half-day sessions: in the morning or in the afternoon. At Kober, a day (or half-day) has a recognizable structure with room for playing, exploring, moving, spending time together, and fun activities. How nice that you are here! We ensure a warm welcome, with space to say hello quietly. This way, we make the transition from home to childcare as pleasant as possible. In the corners, there are all kinds of materials waiting, ready to play with. Perhaps your child wants to do a puzzle. Or read a book quietly first. We give them the space to start the day however they want.
Time for each other

Please take a seat in the circle. What are we going to do today? We sing songs, make music, play games together, and read aloud. This is often linked to a theme we have prepared. This fosters a good sense of group cohesion and a safe environment.
Free play

Once everyone is settled, there is time to explore on their own through play. The children can choose whatever they feel like doing. Options include drawing, playing games, arts and crafts, building with blocks, and much more. We enjoy stimulating creativity in this way and ensuring that the children challenge themselves.
Little break

In between, it's time for a fruit snack! We love giving the children the opportunity to help us. Getting fruit, setting the table, cleaning up, peeling a tangerine themselves; they simply join in. During the meal, we chat a bit, read aloud from a book, or sing. This way, we turn it into a 'language' moment as well. And that, in turn, is good for language development!
Playing outside

The toddlers head outside to play with a football, make sandcastles, or race around on bikes. Our pedagogical professionals keep a watchful eye on them everywhere.
Concluding together

How time flies! We enjoy ending the morning or afternoon together with a fun activity or story. Afterwards, parents can come and pick up their children. We briefly tell you what your child has done and experienced, and say goodbye. Until next time!
Activities at the toddler daycare
At our toddler care (also known as a playgroup), toddlers participate in familiar, varied activities every day. They play, move, and discover together, appropriate to their age and development. Our activities and supervision encourage participation, trying new things, and having fun together. Would you like to read along?
I can do it myself
Toddlers love doing things themselves. Carrying things, fetching and putting away toys, pouring their own drinks, or spreading butter on their sandwiches. By practicing these kinds of daily activities, they discover what they can already do and what they can be proud of. With materials such as pitchers, bowls, small funnels, and a play table with water, sand, or rice, they are given space to try, spill, and start over. Toddlers also practice care and responsibility through play—for example, by dressing a doll or feeding it. We observe and help where necessary, so that their independence can grow in a relaxed way.
Get to work
Toddlers are curious about what they can do with materials. Paper can be cut, folded, torn, or glued. Sand can be scooped, shaped, felt, and poured. We show how things work, do them together, and give them the space to try things themselves. By practicing, repeating, and feeling that they are getting better and better, their skills grow step by step. The joy of making, trying, and discovering is central.
Getting some exercise
Toddlers are full of energy. They climb and clamber, run, cycle, and dance. By moving a lot, they get to know their bodies better and better and practice strength, balance, and coordination. We move together to music, in the gym, outside, or simply in the hallway. Over a bench, on a mat, through a hoop. In doing so, toddlers also learn to wait their turn, slow down when necessary, and be considerate of one another. This way, we practice impulse control through play. Movement is about having fun *and* growing.
Exploring together
Playing together becomes more and more fun at this age! Toddlers practice being together in their own way every day. They encounter each other in the play kitchen, at the table, or while building. By observing, imitating, and putting their own spin on things, toddlers discover how things work with others around them. We sometimes help the game along with small additions in the form of words and materials. In this way, collaborative play is allowed to emerge from curiosity and recognition, at exactly the pace that suits the toddler.
Playing outside
Outdoor play means plenty of movement and discovery for toddlers. They play hide-and-seek, climb and clamber, lug pots and pans around in the outdoor kitchen, and scoop sand into a wheelbarrow to dump it somewhere else. They ride bikes, dig, and build, and at the birdhouses and insect hotels, we look at what lives and moves around. Outside, there is room to move around big, get dirty, and play uninhibitedly. In this way, toddlers experience being outdoors with their whole bodies and follow their curiosity.
What I like to do
Children aged 2 to 4 are increasingly discovering what suits them. One dives into the art studio time and again, while another continues building endlessly in the construction corner or plays shop within the shop. Some toddlers enjoy seeking out the same friend, while others prefer to play alone for a while in the reading corner. By choosing, repeating, and constantly returning to what appeals to them, toddlers realize: I like this, I feel good here. That brings joy, pride, and confidence.
Layout of the toddler care
The space at the toddler daycare is designed so that every child can explore through play. The most beautiful castles are created in the building corner, ideas take shape with paint and paper in the art studio, and enthusiastic cooking and caregiving take place in the playhouse corner. Each corner invites something different and helps toddlers choose what suits them. We deliberately work in small groups so that there is room for independent play as well as for extra guidance where needed. This allows us to see what toddlers are already capable of, where their interests lie, and how they continue to grow step by step.

We don't take everything off your child's hands, but let them do what they can and help where needed. This way, they grow in self-confidence and become increasingly independent.

We see your child, approach them positively, and respond to their needs. We provide an emotionally and physically safe environment; a comfortable, familiar foundation from which your child can develop at their own pace.

We offer your child every opportunity to learn from and with other children, to experience things together, and to have fun. This is made possible by the dynamic group dynamic; the composition changes every day. This way, your child's social development will occur almost naturally. We encourage children to work together – how great is it to achieve this as a group! And to enjoy each other's company.
Healthy and balanced
We provide healthy snacks and a healthy and varied lunch. This way, we introduce children to new flavors and textures and teach them to make their own choices. We also encourage your child to get plenty of exercise. So, of course, we go outside every day.
Respect for others and the world around you
We help children look beyond their own world and discover the diversity of society. For example, by focusing on other cultures, backgrounds, family situations, and living conditions, as well as nature. In this way, we gradually expand their world.
