Merlijn after-school care: playful and harmonious
Crafting in the art studio, playing table football, relaxing in the lounge corner, playing a game of chess together in harmony, or romping around or playing football outside on one of the two playgrounds. BSO Merlijn offers something for everyone. Also because we have the space. For in addition to offering sufficient challenges in the attractively furnished Kober groups, we are also allowed to use the school's gymnasium and technology room ( De Groene Hil ). That is characteristic of our collaboration; we consult regularly, easily drop in on each other, and share materials. In this way, school and after-school care flow seamlessly into one another. How wonderful is that!
Strong Neighborhood
Merlijn is part of the Sterke Wijk (Strong Neighborhood), a partnership between all Kober after-school care centers in the Haagse Beemden area. During school holidays, we organize numerous workshops and activities from one of our locations (this changes annually), such as sports tournaments, ice skating, baking, live board games, and a summer camp. By joining forces, we make so much more possible.

The hourly rate includes:
- food and drinks, including fruit and healthy snacks
- extra activities, excursions and theme weeks
Your child will not want for anything!
Holidays and other days when your child is absent and has been canceled can be used at other times, if staffing allows. That's convenient.
This location is registered in the National Childcare Register. You'll need this number when applying for childcare allowance from the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. The most recent Municipal Health Service (GGD) report for this location can also be found on the LRK website.

- Whit Monday – Monday, May 25
- Christmas Day – Friday, December 25
- Two training days for our staff, to be determined later. We will announce these at least four weeks in advance and coordinate with the local parent committee.

What does a day at the after-school care center look like?
After-school care is the perfect place to play with peers and discover new talents and hobbies. We happily make use of the DoenKids program, a database full of activities. Pedagogical professional Sharon explains: “Every day is different, but we do offer your child a fixed routine.”
