Tarieven

1. Uurtarieven Kober 2026 stijgen met gemiddeld 4,71%
In 2026 stijgen de Kober-uurtarieven met gemiddeld 4,71%. Deze aanpassing is nodig door gestegen loonkosten en inflatie. Kober streeft naar betaalbare kinderopvang voor alle ouders. De prijsverhoging is bedoeld om de kosten te dekken, niet om winst te maken. Kober is een maatschappelijke kinderopvangorganisatie; wat we verdienen, investeren we terug in onze organisatie, onze dienstverlening en onze medewerkers.

Let op: Het tarief voor peuteropvang is per gemeente anders, door verschillen in subsidieregelingen. Hierdoor kan de verhoging in jouw gemeente voor de peuteropvang afwijken.

2. Kinderopvangtoeslag stijgt
In 2026 zet de overheid een volgende stap naar bijna gratis kinderopvang voor werkende ouders. Voor veel ouders betekent dit een lagere eigen bijdrage. Werkende ouders met een toetsingsinkomen vanaf € 49.319 krijgen recht op een hogere toeslag. Voor inkomens tussen € 49.319 en € 56.413 betekent dit zelfs het maximale vergoedingspercentage van 96%. Voor ouders met een lager inkomen (tot circa € 40.000) verandert er niets: zij ontvangen al de maximale toeslag, maar hun eigen bijdrage stijgt door de hogere tarieven. Kober kan dit verschil helaas niet opvangen. Als lid van Branchevereniging Maatschappelijke Kinderopvang blijven we ons inzetten voor toegankelijke en betaalbare kinderopvang voor ieder kind.

3. Afwegingen Kober bepaling uurtarieven 
Voor de tariefbepaling gaat Kober uit van maatschappelijk verantwoorde tarieven waarbij de factoren normuurtarief, kostenstijging, maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen, gezonde bedrijfsvoering en impact voor ouders zorgvuldig worden afgewogen. Er wordt gezocht naar een balans tussen wat nodig is voor een gezonde bedrijfsvoering en wat goed is voor de ouders in de huidige tijd. Net als voorgaande jaren heeft Kober overlegd met de Centrale OC en het aanbod en de tarieven voor 2026 ter advisering aan de Centrale OC voorgelegd. De Centrale OC heeft positief geadviseerd op het aanbod en tarieven 2026.

6. Nieuwe uurtarieven doorgeven aan de Belastingdienst
In de Ouderapp vind je de tarieven voor 2026 voor het door jou afgenomen pakket. Het is belangrijk dat je de nieuwe uurtarieven doorgeeft aan de Belastingdienst.

Dienstenaanbod en voorwaarden 2026

Het aanbod blijft gelijk aan dat van 2025. We wijzigen wel enkele voorwaarden. Hieronder lichten we toe wat dat inhoudt.

1. Aanpassing aanbiedingstermijn peuteropvang
We verkorten de aanbiedingstermijn van 9 naar 4 maanden. Dat is het moment waarop ouders horen dat er plek is op de peuteropvang. Hierdoor plannen we efficiënter en benutten we beschikbare plekken beter. Zo bieden we meer kinderen een plek op onze peuteropvang. In Breda werkt deze aanpak al goed. Daarom voeren we dit nu op alle peuteropvang-locaties in.

2. Studiedagen
We hechten veel waarde aan de ontwikkeling van onze professionals en vinden het belangrijk dat zij de tijd en ruimte krijgen om te leren en groeien. Daarom organiseren we maximaal één Kober-studiedag per jaar, waar professionals als team hun kennis en vaardigheden kunnen versterken. We sluiten onze locaties alléén op studiedagen die samen met de scholen worden gepland. Op deze dagen is opvang helaas niet mogelijk. We stemmen de datum altijd af met de lokale oudercommissie en laten je minstens vier weken van tevoren weten wanneer de studiedag plaatsvindt. De gemiste opvanguren van deze dag betaalt Kober jou terug. Kijk voor meer informatie op onze website op deze pagina.

3. Optionele uren
Het inzetten van optionele uren is een service, geen recht. Elk jaar bekijken we opnieuw of we deze service willen behouden. Voor 2026 kiest Kober ervoor om de service te behouden. In de eerste periode van 2025 hebben we gemiddeld 76% van alle aanvragen goedgekeurd.

Wat zijn optionele uren en hoe bouw je ze op?
Soms kun of wil je geen gebruikmaken van onze opvang. Meld je je kind op tijd af, dan kun je die gemiste uren later inzetten.

• Afmelden via de Ouderapp vóór 07.30 uur voor kinderdagverblijf, peuteropvang, buitenschoolse opvang en schoolvrije dagen.
• Voor vakantieopvang: minimaal 4 dagen van tevoren afmelden.
• Bij ziekte: vóór 07.30 uur afmelden.
• Bij niet tijdig afmelden ontvang je geen optionele uren.

Spelregels optionele uren – hoe werkt het en hoe zet je ze in?
In de spelregels staan de werkwijze en de voorwaarden uitgelegd. Je vindt ze hier en in de Ouderapp onder de knoppen Locatie → 5. Ouderapp → Spelregels uren inzetten. Kun je om wat voor reden dan ook je optionele uren niet inzetten, dan ontvang je hiervoor géén financiële compensatie.

4.  Tijdig afmelden extra diensten
Wil je je kind afmelden voor een extra dienst, zoals een warme maaltijd of de kinderkapper? Doe dit dan vóór 07:30 uur op de dag zelf.  Bij een te late afmelding brengen we de kosten voor deze dienst in rekening.

5.  Sluitingsdagen
In 2026 zijn onze locaties gesloten op:

Rates

1. Kober’s hourly rates to increase by an average of 4.71% in 2026
Kober’s hourly rates will rise by 4.71% in 2026, an adjustment made necessary by the rise in labour costs and inflation. Kober aspires to provide affordable childcare for all parents. These higher rates are intended to cover our costs, not to make a profit; Kober is a socially-engaged childcare-services company and we put back what we earn into our company, our childcare services and our employees.

Please note: The rates for toddler daycare vary by municipality, due to differences in subsidy schemes. As a consequence, the actual increase for toddler daycare in your municipality could deviate from those listed here.

2.  Childcare allowance to rise

In 2026, the government is to take more measures to make childcare almost free for working parents. For many parents, this step will mean a lower parental contribution. Working parents with a means-tested income of €49,319 and over are entitled to more allowance. In fact, it means that for incomes in the €49,319 to €56,413 range, the maximum percentage for the allowance could be as high as 96%. Nothing will change for parents with incomes in the lower range (to about €40,000), as they already receive the maximum allowance; however, their parental contribution will increase due to the higher rates. Unfortunately, Kober cannot make up that difference. As a member of the sector association for socially-engaged childcare-services companies (Branchevereniging Maatschappelijke Kinderopvang), we shall continue to advocate for accessible, affordable childcare for all children.

3.  Kober’s reasons for the new rates
Kober bases the height of the fees on socially-responsible rates: first, we carefully weigh all the relevant factors, i.e. the standard hourly rate, price increases, developments in society, healthy business operations and the impact on parents. Then we try to find a balance between what is needed to keep our business healthy and what we can do for parents in today’s society. As in previous years, Kober has discussed the services and rates for 2026 with the Central Parents’ Committee [Centrale Oudercommissie] and submitted them to that committee for advice. The Central Parents’ Committee [Centrale Oudercommissie] has advised favourably on the services and rates for 2026.

6.  Report hourly rates to the Tax Administration
The Parents’ App [Ouderapp] lists the 2026 rates for your specific service package. It is important that you report the new hourly rates to the Tax Administration [Belastingdienst].

Services, terms and conditions in 2026

Our range of services shall remain the same as in 2025. However, we shall amend several of the terms and conditions. Below, we shall explain what that means.

1.  Changes to the toddler daycare inactive period
We are reducing the period on the inactive list from 9 to 4 months, which is when parents are informed that there is a place for their child at the toddler daycare. The change will allow us to plan more efficiently and make better use of the available places. As a result, we will have more places for children at the toddler daycare. We have already applied this strategy successfully in Breda and are confident about rolling it out to all our toddler-daycare locations.

2.  Study days
We appreciate the impact of the development and education of our professional workforce, and believe it is important that they have the time and space to learn and grow. That’s why we arrange a maximum of one Kober study day per year, where these professionals, as a team, can improve their knowledge and skills. We only close our branches on study days that are scheduled to coincide with school arrangements. However, it does mean that our childcare services are not available then. We always coordinate the dates with the local parent committee and will inform you of the actual date of the study day at least four weeks in advance. 3.  Optional hours
The use of optional hours is a service, not a right. Every year, we review this service to see whether we can keep it in our range of services. Kober has decided to keep the service for optional hours available for 2026. On average, we approved 76% of all requests in the first part of 2025.

What are optional hours and how do you accrue them?
Sometimes, you cannot, or do not want to, use our childcare services. If you report your child’s absence on time, you can use the hours your child missed at a later time.

• Report your child’s absence on the Parents’ App [Ouderapp] before 07:30 if you are using our daycare nursery service, our toddler daycare service, our out-of-school care service or childcare on school-free days.
• For the holiday childcare service: please cancel the holiday childcare service for your child 4 days in advance.
• If your child is ill: please report your child’s absence before 07:30.
• If you do not cancel, or report an absence, on time, you will not receive any optional hours.

Rules for optional hours: how does it work and how can you use them?
The rules for optional hours and how you can use optional hours are explained in our Terms and Conditions. We cannot make any financial reimbursements if you cannot use your optional hours for any reason.

4. Cancel an extra service on time
If you want to cancel one of our extra services, such as a hot meal or the children’s hairdresser, please cancel before 07:30 on the actual day. If you do not cancel the service on time, we shall be forced to charge you for it.

5. Closing days
In 2026, our branches will be closed on:

• New Year’s Day, Thursday 1 January 2026
• Easter Monday, Monday 6 April 2026
• King’s Day, Monday 27 April 2026
• Liberation Day, Tuesday 5 May 2026
• Ascension Day, Thursday 14 May 2026
• Whit Monday, Monday 25 May 2026
• Christmas Day, Friday 25 December 2026
• 1 study day for our staff, the date of which will be arranged later (please also see under the heading ‘study days’)
